You have a story no one else can tell. Let's find it.
This on-demand course has everything you need to concept, pitch, create, and deliver a talk that connects with audiences—and feels like you.
Created just for people in design, UX, and product. Taught by Sara Wachter-Boettcher.
What participants say
"I loved everything about it! Especially the outline of using an angle, arc and a hook to tell a story. I fall into the trap of keeping things very information-driven in presentation decks and forget to insert my opinion/recommendation in a more clear and direct way, so framing it as a story really helps."
Find your topic, define your audience, and establish your goals for this talk. Then we'll show you how to turn those ideas into a winning talk description and speaker bio.
Learn the basics of storytelling, and how to use narrative techniques to build a compelling talk structure.
Learn how to go big, get bold, and be memorable when you present.
What participants say
"This was fabulous. I genuinely feel like my storytelling skills have been upleveled, and I'm already reaping the benefits from taking this."
"This course has helped change my thinking when it comes to presenting, and I'm grateful to have had the opportunity to participate!"

Let us help you find it—and deliver it with confidence.
This course is for anyone in design, UX, product, or related fields who wants to be a more confident public speaker.
It includes specific guidance for writing a talk description and bio, which is useful for submitting to conferences and other public events. But all the curriculum is just as valuable for developing presentations and telling compelling stories inside your company, too.
This course is organized into 3 modules and is designed to be completed at a pace of 1 module every week or two.
Each module includes 2-4 video lessons (for a total of 30-45 minutes per module), plus hands-on activities to go with each lesson. We recommend spending about 3 hours on each module.
Pitching, writing, designing slides for, and practicing a talk is an in-depth process that varies greatly from person to person and event to event, so this time estimate only includes the activities directly included in our curriculum—not all the time you'll need for a talk.
We guarantee access to the course materials for at least 1 year from the date of purchase.
(We won't revoke your account after that—as long as this course exists, you'll retain access. We just only guarantee the first year.)
This course is taught by Sara Wachter-Boettcher of Active Voice, an experienced public speaker, facilitator, and coach.
